The health benefits of lemons

Despite what you may believe, lemons can be used for more than just lemonade and a prank to make your nephew's face pucker. They can be used to remove stains, deodorize, and garnish a simple meal. Moreover, lemons can be used as an unlikely tool for health.

When mixed with hot water, lemons can cure digestive problems, nausea and even the hiccups. Making a practice of drinking a glass of lemon juice (which is not the same as lemonade lemonade has added sugar) can act as a tonic for your liver and will aid in the digestion of food. It will not only help with digestive problems, but can also relieve menstrual cramps. When mixed with coffee, it can be an effective cure for headaches. Lemons are high in vitamin C, which is key in treating infections. They can improve the immune system and treat viral or bacterial infections. Who said orange juice is the only cure?

If you find yourself with a bloody nose, saturate a cotton ball with lemon juice and apply to your nostrils this may sting, but it will alleviate the bleeding. The same goes for bleeding gums. When utilized in highly concentrated form, lemons can help break fevers and the common cold. But do not ingest concentrated lemon juice it should be diluted before consumption because the acid in pure lemon juice can be disastrous for your tooth enamel.

Lemons are typically associated with happiness, despite its sour taste. It reminds us of sunshine and summer and sipping lemonade at the beach. Because of this connection, lemons can help life people's emotional state. It helps us calm our anxieties and focus. Those who are depressed, menopausal, or just having a rough day can benefit from a little bit of lemon. Lemons are a great way to naturally aid your body in fighting infection and disease. Drinking a glass of lemon juice mixed with cold water and honey on an empty stomach in the morning can cleanse your body and prepare it for the day. If you suffer from anemia, incorporating lemons into your diet can aid blood production and provide you with that boost you need to get through the day. Kidney stones can be dissolved with a few glasses of lemon juice over time.

Make a habit of using lemons in your daily regime. Whether you use them for cleaning, preventative or healing purposes, lemons are guaranteed to brighten your day.
