Boosting your immunity naturally

system. Tea contains an amino acid called L-theanine which helps to increase the effectiveness of the white blood cells that fight off infection. Water in the form of hydrotherapy is also very good for you. What eases away tensions and helps promote sleep better than a relaxing hot bath? Spoil yourself, while also boosting your immune system what better excuse for time out could you have?

Step 7 is Herbs

There are lots of herbs which help to support and boost the immune system, however if you take them continuously their effectiveness is reduced. Immune boosting herbs include Echinacea, garlic, astragalus, golden seal & olive leaf extract. I find that keeping a liquid form of Echinacea on hand to take as soon as you feel you might be coming down with something is extremely effective. Although the liquid tastes awful, it works faster than the capsule form and it can be put in pineapple juice to try and disguise it. Having one of the other herbs in a capsule form in your cupboard is handy for when people at home or work are sick, you can start dosing yourself in order to prevent the virus or infection from attacking you.

Step 8 is Prevention

Preventing colds and flus and the like are a lot easier than combating them when the virus is already in your system. When people around you are sick start taking garlic, Echinacea, Astragalus or golden seal immediately.

If you find yourself coming down with a virus then try and nip it in the bug quickly. A ginger bath is fantastic for getting rid of viruses quickly. Run a bath as hot as you can bear and add ground ginger, while you're in it keep a wet face cloth over your chest to insure you don't get cold and allow a drizzle of hot water to keep running to ensure the bath stays hot. Ginger helps to promote perspiration so this will help you to essentially cook' the virus. Hop out of the bath and wrap up warmly, take some Echinacea and pop into bed, by morning the virus should be gone.

There you have it eight steps to boosting your immunity naturally.
