How will Chelsea cope without Jose Mourinho?

How will Chelsea cope without the 'special one' Jose Mourinho?

Life will not be the same for the Chelsea players, the fans, the club and the premier league. If one can recall, before Jose came to England. The English Premier League is all about Man United and Arsenal. But with the inclusion of the Jose and a lighter weight Rafa Bentiez, it somehow change the whole picture. We see more sparks flying between the managers and it increased the level of football which every fans would love to watch.

Of course one may argue that no individual is bigger than the team or club but we must agreed also it takes someone special to bring the team forward and challenge for major trophies. This I guess the new manager Grant will have difficulties to deliver. As you can see, the Chelsea players are not the united as before and their star striker Drogba has been wanting out. Also the change of playing style from winning a game no matter if is playing beautiful football to winning with style which the Russian owner love, it will take time for the players to adapt. Just look at Arsenal, they have been playing football with style but it took them a few years to establish the style they wanted.

So I reckon, this year is only 2 teams challenge for the league - Arsenal and Man United. As for Chelsea, a 3rd place finish will not be a bad start without the 'special one'
