If your collection has started to look paltry in your eyes, or in the eyes of your once envious friends, it may be time to look into expanding your collection. The action figure aficionado must replenish his line of figures every so often to maintain prime collector status.

When looking to expand your collection, one thing to keep in mind is that quality always tops quantity. You don't want to go out and toss aside your money, buying any and all action figures that are available or that fit into your household budget.

Find out what pieces of the collection you are lacking, and which ones will enhance the overall effect of your compilation. The next thing to worry about is where to find the right pieces to add to your burgeoning anthology.

If your local department stores do not carry the dolls that you are seeking, you can try hobby shops, flea markets, eBay, and other online sources. With the Internet, every action figure made is available somewhere in the world. Go into chat rooms and spread word about a rare figure that you crave.

Another great place to go to is a convention. Whether or not it is a comic book convention, or an action figure convention, there are sure to be people there that are experts in the field. They also have vast connections and their friend base, if it isn't imaginary, are like minded folks.

Remember, have the best collection that you can afford to have, and take care of them, for someday they will be desired by another generation.
