Land of the Broken Heart
It seems at times
You've approached your end
Took a wrong turn once
Leading to that desolate plain
The Land of the Broken Heart
Checked in at Shattered Dreams Inn
Perhaps you made a few wrong turns?
Maybe that's just the way life is
Your heart has been broken
It has been crushed!
Shattered into a million pieces
Is this a dream or is this reality?
You touch your feelings
They say, "It hurts!"
Leave me alone!
I need time to heal!
You look at others and ask
"Am I ugly?"
Why am I not loved?
You must be an unsightly
Beastly-looking creature
You have a deranged face
Silent lips
No one dares come too close
You don't blame them
"Stay away, go away!"
Let me walk this path alone.
Where lies the future?
Is it in your hands?
Or is it in the hand of fate
Oh, gods, be merciful!
The past has been cruel.
A vicious, tormenting nightmare
Leaves you trembling with fear
The present is shaky
Nothing is sure
You wonder
Will the madness ever end?
You've put a dagger through your heart
Only their memory remains
Tell them I love them
My prayer to you,
Dear G-d, if you are real,
Do not let them suffer as I.
Defeat has conquered victory
Can you go on?
Should you go on?
You should throw in the towel
You failed!
Stand up and try again
You love them so
You failed!
Could not care for them
Could not care for them
Never another
Never another
Could not care for them
You shall stand once more
You are terrified
Can't anyone see?
You are a sad, lonely child.
Why did she have to go?
How many times you've fallen
Beaten
Battered
Bruised
Hom eless
Friendless
Mocked
Once again you've fallen
And yet again you shall stand
G-d help you

The
SORROW OF A WOMAN
In you I placed my destiny
Hopes, dreams, and my deepest fears,
In you I believed
I was your pillar, your rock,
Does a broken heart ever really mend
Or do you patch it up for a short time?
Do you ever really regain your trust
Or just remain
You didn't love me then.
You'll never love me now.
Not even when I was there,
Today, another face in the crowd.
The one you could

I SAW
I saw it coming.
The way they looked at each other.
Or more to the point,
the way she looked at him,
the way she never looked
