Boosting your immunity naturally

The immune system is the body's defense mechanism which helps to protect against the millions of bacteria, microbes, viruses, toxins and parasites that try and invade the body on a daily basis.

If the body becomes affected by any of these elements, the immune system will kick efficiently into place to set about eliminating the harmful effects that the human body can succumb to.

The immune system is made up of a group of white blood cells, called leukocytes , central lymphoid tissues, which is bone marrow and thymus, peripheral lymphoid tissue, which are the nodes, spleen, mucosa-associated lymphoid tissue and other organs, all working together in harmony to keep the body in perfect working order.

Sometimes the immune system can become weakened by chemical toxins in the body, or from other factors such as: Epstein Barr Virus, colds or flu, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and Cancer, digestive tract problems and even hormone imbalances.

The immune system can also become less efficient by becoming overactive. This can be seen in instances when the patient develops the conditions of Lupus and Multiple Sclerosis.

The effects of an inefficient immune system can be inconvenient, uncomfortable and downright dangerous so it is in the interests of the individual to maintain a healthy system which will in turn benefit and support the immune system especially during any healing process.

Boosting your immunity naturally can begin from the minute you are born. Breastfeeding an infant for as long as possible, will help to pass on important antibodies from the mother. Breast milk contains lymphocytes and macrophages which will go on to produce antibodies and other immune factors. It will pass on lactobacillus bifidus, which will help prevent the growth of dangerous bacteria. Baby's first all natural food will also protect against viruses, fungi and parasites, and it is Mother Nature's way of filling the human body with all the right ingredients for a recipe to a healthy and protected system.
There can be many factors that can affect your immune system and cutting down on these will help boost your immunity and relieve pressure on your system.

Keeping fit is the first way you can help yourself. Walking and other physical activities will stimulate the release of endorphins, will improve the efficiency of mental activity, lower the effects of cholesterol, regulate blood pressure and other stress related hormones. Excising regularly on a daily basis will go a long way in helping to strengthen
