Now I live, empty hearted
It came and went, now departed
Labors born of heartfelt joy
Left to rot, a broken toy
Wasn't my intention good
Gainst storm and flood solid stood
Love and pride rewards to own
Things that make a house a home
Yet for all my care and woe
Fending off the to and fro
From within my castle walls
Deceit lay waste hallowed halls
Her words were brief, cold and true
Life endures just without you
Another came while you toiled
With me he sat, me he spoiled
Have not I earned treasures this
Respect, love, and faithfulness
But should it not be from you
These, our children must stay true
No word was said, no tear fell
Just escort to a living hell
Labors born of heartfelt joy
Left to rot, a broken toy

In a place she once called home

eyes stare without blink
inside old mind
Broken and lost with no where to turn
A victim of society, deceived by the norm
People all around me turn up their noses
