A marriage is a legal binding contract so many times some of us will wind up seeing it as just that. We'll forget that at one time it was more than paper that bound us, it was love. Sometimes as a woman I see this happening to my young marriage. Most of my anger is resentment held towards my husband for his lack of trying. He could reverse my feelings entirely if he just listened a little closer to what I needed, what every wife really needs to be happy.

Respect. I am human, every wife is, and present time we have fought to be equal in the work world, in the social world, and we deserve to be equal in the realm of marriage. Not that any one woman wants to be ahead of all the husbands chores as well as hers, but she wants to be treated like she has the ability.

Loyalty. Nothing brings peace of mind like knowing a husband is faithful. An ability to stick around through thick and thin is amazing. Sometimes a marriage is more thin and vulnerable than anything. Sometimes it seems unbearable but if a husband remains true that loyalty resounds love.

Love. It's the reason we took the plunge. It needs to be everywhere. From the tip of the tongue and spoken into words, to the touch of his fingertips on my back. I need to hear it, see it, and feel it in order to stay happy.

Respect, loyalty, and love are the ties that bind a marriage. Every act or duty pertains to either of the three so of course they are the mile stones to cross when maintaining a happy wife, a wonderful marriage.
