Kabbalah explained

When people meet one another for the very first time, attraction is not immediate. There always seems to be that inevitable awkward period of nervousness that occurs as the hormones begin to flow. Safely, each individual regardless of age endures what can seem to be an enormous amount of time or in some cases a very short amount of time. Sometimes, the human lot has the good fortune to be blessed with meeting a person that they immediately can form a spontaneous bond. That bond, is one that cannot be replicated with another, and so strong that the toughest of glues could not match its staying power.

This type of bond is one that is found, I believe, in the best of marriages. As well, this bond is found in the best of friends, one's that are life long and the ideal if there is such a monster. The reason I say the best is because there is an immediate connection, then everything else is built upon that chemical connection. The true "give and take" of daily life is but another extension of the former. In that, throw a good helping of a great sexual relationship, one that is shared by each for their sole enjoyment and pleasure, the confidence knowing that the other person has " got your back" in time of need. In an instant, the beshert or besherta would indeed "lay down" their own life for you and vice versa. As well, each would give up all they had, just to be with the other, disregarding any personal hardship or bind. To them, it is far too important to ensure that their "soul mate" is cared for as if they were caring for themselves.

Having said that, many will never achieve the level of contentment for which they aspire to be at, simply because they have not met their true, "Beshert" or Besherta". When one meets his or her beshert, it's like meeting themselves. they share a sheer familiarity with the other person that makes them whole. Up until the time in which they meet, they literally were a "half person", but now are made whole. Having met one's beshert, plans can then and will be made to include the other, regardless of circumstances.

So, if you have not met your Beshert or Besherta yet, do not despair, as when G-d created each soul, he made two halves with the intent that in time every soul would meet their "other half" to make a whole or complete soul created by G-d. This is just one of the many aspects of the Kabbalah explained.
