Comparison of racism today to racism of the early 1900s

Has racism really changed since the early 1900's? Some say it has in the sense that we have integrated schools and workplaces. Although others say it hasn't changed at all. I went around and asked people what they thought on the subject of racism, and i received answers that truly would shock anyone.
Twenty percent of the people said that racism has become so much worse because of all the talk of where aids came from and how they don't believe it is OK to mix races. They stated that it enraged them to see how kids of mixed races had to live, growing up with the torments and hazing.

While the other eighty percent of the people said that racism has came a long way from what it used to be. They stated that now we can go into restaurants and sit down and eat without having to worry about if they were offending anyone. How you can be friends with a person of color if your white and not have people look upon you like you are a trader.
Although I have listened and stated what some people have said we still have to look at the facts. We still have people being shot because of their skin color or their ethnic origin. We are still having many conflict-ions in the workplace because of the percentage of African Americans that are employed.
So all in all. I believe that racism hasn't changed as much as it should. We need to accept the fact that we are all on this earth together. No matter what our skin color is or what our ethnic origin, we need to be open and have the courage to accept the way things are without judging or hazing. Don't teach the children of tomorrow what we have learned today. Teach them how to change tomorrow from what we have learned today.
