Escapism is for certain the main reason so many of us allow ourselves to be sucked into the
world of soap opera mania!

For many people worldwide, life tends to be nothing other than routine at best, dull at worst. Of course, on top of that, we all have our own share of tribulations; but in general, it's nothing other than hum-drum monotony!-Enter the world of soap opera madness!

Because so many soaps, feature 'realistic' characters (um, except all of the incredibly beautiful women;), as a nation who is looking for a momentary exit out of our own world of;
going to work, washing the clothes; feeding the kids; feeding the dog; etc, we crave the excitement that soaps can deliver unto us in an instant.

We are enthralled by engaging story lines; who will marry whom; when will she be caught having that affair with him? Or the one of the dad dating the his wife's best friend. The possibilities are endless, just as out longing to be taken away for a while from, what is for some, a dull existence in an even duller world!

So it's easy to see why some can get reeled into it all. One thing to remember; it ISN'T real!
(Okay, apart from the bit where the hunky guy comes to ask me out on a date. Ooops, that was my dream..ahem!)
