Google and privacy

Can you put Google and privacy in the same sentence. Google is a search engine that basically allows anyonace the ability to search for information about people, places, things, objects, dates, times, features, addresses, phone numbers, neighbors, archived articles and anything else you can imagine.

They even have a feature which allows you to key in an area code with phone number and then a map comes up leading you to that persons home. Of course you can have your own phone number blocked from this feature. So there is nothing that I can think of about Google that is private or secure unless I am overlooking something. If Google cannot locate it they can probably lead you to another feature or resource or tool or website than can help you complete the job at hand.

If you look hard enough you find out just about anything on the internet therefore it is my conclusion that there is nothing private at all about Google, the internet, or search engines in general. I do believe that Google does not rent or sell the names of users to others looking to utilize their data base for the sake of selling them other products or services.

This does not appear to pose a threat as far as identity theft is concerned otherwise we would see a lot more cases of that reported just by utilizing all of the tools and resources of Google and the other search engines.
