If NBC is willing to pay Paris Hilton one million dollars to tell her jailhouse story, then more power to her! You may not agree with it, but the simple fact of the matter is, Paris is a smart business woman. How many people do you know that can talk people into giving them ridiculous sums of money for telling their jailhouse story? The majority of America thinks that it's a stupid idea, and that "Crime Doesn't Pay" but the truth of the matter is, that this is America, and in America, making money is much more important than morals, or what is right or wrong.

Think of it this way. You're a big celebrity, and you do something dumb, and you wind up in jail. If you know that NBC or CBS or some big news channel will pay you money to hear about your stay at jail, are you going to take the money and tell the story, or decline the offer because America looks down upon you for that. I guarantee you that all of you out there would take the money.

Anybody who wrote for the "No" side of this article obviously didn't put themselves in Paris's shoes. Perhaps they thought to themselves, that Paris has enough money already, and that may be true, but doesn't the government also have more money than it will ever use? You're still paying taxes aren't you.

It doesn't matter how people make money in America, or how much money they already have. If an opportunity arises for more money to be made, people are going to take it. There is nothing illegal about Paris's newest money making venture, so why is there even a debate over it. Hopefully this article will shutdown all of those writing for the "No" side, seeing as how you have no argument now.
