Employers should require employees speak English

Well, that would depend on two things.

1- Do you live in America?

2- Does your job require you to communicate with English speaking people?

If you can answer yes to either of these questions.. no matter a fact.. if you can read either of these questions.. you need to learn to speak English.
I can't tell you the number of times I've had to contact a company only to be forced to speak to a person who speaks broken English. This is very irritating. I've learned to just hang up instead of attempting to read between the lines.

If I moved to Italy, well, I'd know Italian before I got there. It only makes sense. Yes, this is America, land of the free, home of the brave... etc etc. However, Americans should not be forced to be fluent in every language of every person that decides to migrate here.
If you live in the United States and prefer to speak your native language, there are places for that.. and its not in front of people who can't understand a word your saying.
I'm not a hateful person. I'm a very open minded and understanding person. I'm also very fair. What isn't fair is that people born and raised in America are being forced to accept and adjust to whats "politically correct" all the time- most the time against their will. If we fail to do this we're seen as unruly hate mongers. This is the land of opportunity, so take advantage of it and participate in a state funded program that teaches English to non English speaking "citizens".
I believe that our children should learn other languages in schools. I believe that they should have the opportunity to learn 10 of them if they want to. However, English should be taught to anyone that lives in United States and used as the primary language.
