Every teen has their own personality, and in their growing years that lead to adulthood will build up their own preferences and the likes and dislikes that all of us feel during the course of our lives. A teen is coming to terms with their life. They have the pressures of growing up, schoolwork, social life, and home life to balance, and getting the balance right is important.
To design a teens room, there are many aspects that need to be taken into consideration, and this article goes through the stages that will make the ideas better and work well for your teen in creating a themed room for them.

CHOICE
The choice of theme will be very individual. Not all teens are interested in the same things, and much as we would like them to fit into neat categories, they don't. Here, a choice of themes can be adapted to their tastes, as some will appeal to some kids while be abhorrent to others. Talk them through with the teen and see also if they come up with original ideas of their own. Here are some suggestions that are relatively easy to produce:
*Space Age
*Pop-star or Movie based
*Feminine and pretty
*Sports based.
*Op-Art
All of these are easily achievable. For example with the space aged design, using tubular metal furnishings can really make the place look modernistic, and you can incorporate their computer into a unit that is painted in a metallic paint, put in modern spotlights, and choose bedlinen with the whole concept of space reflected in the choice. Instead of old fashioned curtains, here you can use blinds because they really do look modern.
For the pop-star or movie mad teen, here you can use a neutral color of their choice, and add collages of their favorite stars. There are many additions that can make the look complete, but do ask them their preference of linen and curtains because it is their conception of stardom that you are trying to capture in their room.
Incorporating a screen works well giving them a private changing area just like movie stars would have. Chances are that the typical teen will soon drape all of their clothing over it, but at least it is in a space they consider reflects who they are at this stage in their lives.
Feminine and pretty doesn't suit every girl, though there are those that do like this look. Here, pastel shades on furniture, and a very feminine patchwork quilt look rather nice, and they can choose the main color scheme for the room, so that you are left with choosing the accessories that bring the
