All of us have been there: You buy the cute little black dress only to end up at a party and notice white deodorant streaks. What to do, what to do? I have a few solutions that work.
First, if the stain is a mild one, try grabbing the material, folding it up from the bottom, and using the inside of the garment, rub the stain vigorously. Follow through by rubbing two parts of the outside together. This usually works for small spots.
Second, if you have a large stain, or simply want to take the easier approach, try a Mom's secret weapon: Baby wipes. Any brand will do, but I would stay away from wipes that have any types of oil or moisturizer in it. It could cause an oil stain, and those do not come out easily, if at all.
Third, when washing clothes, try adding OxyClean to your detergant. It works wonders.
For the dreaded perspiration stains on white articles of clothing...bleach always does the trick. Try adding both bleach and OxyClean to your detergant. Fill the wash basin completely, hot water preferred, and let it soak for about thirty minutes. Then, turn the washing machine back on and finish the cycle.
I've tried all of those methods, and they all worked for me. Baby wipes work the best, though. Baby wipes will take out so many different types of stains it is unreal. So stock up. It could save you lots of money on laundering.
PS. To avoid deodorant stains altogether, try Dove's new invisible deodorant line.
