Christianity is knowing and following Christ. Choosing to accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior. Believing that Jesus died for our sins, and God raised Him from the dead on the third day. Religion can mean a lot of things that have absolutely nothing to do with Christ.
I was watching a Billy Graham crusade tonight, and he basically said, " You can be religious, go to church every Sunday, and still never know the truth," You have to ask yourself, Do I really know God or do I just go through the motions of being in church, because that's what is expected out of me.
Do you even feel like a lukewarm Christian, and know that God will spew you right out of His mouth,. Then He will say to you, "Sorry, I never knew you." Going through the motions is living a lie, to yourself and to Jesus Christ. so if you still have a hunger and a thirst for God, you have not been filled. You've only been living the part, and totally missing the point. You're on the right track though. Go a little farther. Jesus is waiting right now.
The worst part is when you think you know Jesus and still have a yearning that needs to be filled with the completeness of God's divine love. Nothing but total commitment to Jesus Christ will give you all that you need and deserve. No other so called religion can ever do that for you. You will always find yourself empty, and alone.
What a waste of precious time. Knowing you're living on the edge of eternity, means that you need to get yourself into a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. You need to repent of your sins, separate yourself from that life, and ask for God's forgiveness. He will forgive you right at that moment. There is no guarantee that you will see nightfall, or be alive in the morning. Every moment of your life counts.
Your Bible is your instruction book. It is your road map when you get off of the right path. It has every promise made by God in there. It tells about yesterday, today, and forever. God's law's don't change.
Different religion changes are formed to suit man's purpose on this earth, but he doesn't seem to realize that there is another life. An eternal life that God has for His children who choose to follow Him. Choosing to follow false gods or cults will take you down the road to destruction. That is the lake of fire. There are cults that can brainwash a person so bad, they loose all sense of right and wrong.
If a man walked up to you on the street, showed you nail prints in his hands and feet, and said, "I am Jesus Christ. come and follow me." What would your reaction be? Do you know enough about the Bible and the real Savior to know the difference? There are going to be false prophets in the coming future saying that they come in Jesus name. They're liars. They are of the devil and his many religions. False and evil.
Jesus is coming soon, but He will not come up to you in the street. He will come in the clouds. Know your Bible, weigh your spirits, and pray like there's no tomorrow. The world has come to a place that is very frightening because of what people don't know as truth. Some people are so hungry for something, they are willing to believe whatever they hear, and it makes them feel good. Spirituality is more than feeling good. It's feeling the very presence of the one Who loved us so much that He died for us.
Religion is a word with a lot of false meaning. Christianity is faith in all that is good. In knowing Jesus Christ as you Lord and Savior.
Christianity is being joint-heirs with Jesus Christ our Lord, and children of the most High God. The Father of all creation. Destination; Heaven.
