I guess really this would depend on what one is looking at for their offspring's future: There is a huge difference between being a parent or a mother/father. Being a parent is a job, being a mother/father is easy. Though should one really want their child or children to live the old communist way, then this may be a great idea. Should we all want our offspring to keep living in a free society, then this is a ridiculous question.

Already the citizens of America have given too much to power the state and church. Too much power has been given to our government and we are slowly losing our freedom, one decision at a time. Now I understand that some people are not the best parents in the world and in fact each set of parents are no better the the next. From experience I can honestly say that my parents should have been required to have a parenting license; but if that were so, then I would not be here today. I guess really too many people are wanting to play God but when something goes wrong they want to blame the True God.
If you who are reading this are one that thinks we should have a parenting license, then you may not have children yourself. The state may be saying you are not making enough money to properly support a child. Some things are better left alone and this is one of them, I'll not mention what other ideas and new laws I think are done out of ignorance; which brings me to my final point. Most Americans are so full of ignorance these days that they have become selfish to what human rights are and yes I am also talking about the ones we think should not be parents, but who are we to play God and judge a man/woman?
