When Americans think of Education we think of people or all ethnic background, and different sex's that come together in a class room and learn skills for there future Careers. In today's world the Advantages are noticed we have men and women who have to work together to complete assignments; work in groups. They learn when they are young to treat each other with respect and consideration.
Have you ever wondered what the Advantages are? Well for instance some advantages are cost. It is less costly to form educational strength and faults to form the Curriculum to satisfy Males or Females. Generally Americans believe that combined schooling is the best possibility to improve a persons education. These are the future rulers of America and they must be handled with the most care we could ever possibly give them.
If not exposed to this environment there are some disadvantages. A male only school has a Homosexuality rate of 63% more than a public school open to all genders with a 14% rating. This is one of the faults with not having mixed schooling.
Co- Education is one of the many debates that we have today concerning Male and Female participation in such things as Sports, Plays, and even Classes.
Americans have created the first steps with the program NO CHILD LEFT BEHIND. Secretary Spellings of Education had this to say. "Thanks to No Child Left Behind, we are now armed with information that can improve and personalize instruction. For the first time ever, teachers can measure student progress from year to year and note which strategies work best. Next year, in addition to reading and math, we're adding science assessments to give you data to help more students become innovators, entrepreneurs, and scientists.
Now that we have this wealth of information, the next step is to use it to customize education. We've built an appetite for change and improvement, and we've done a good job of framing the problem. We know where we're falling short, where students' needs aren't being met, and where more rigor is needed. With the help of technology, we must now begin to answer those needs.
If there's one thing I've learned in my travels around our country, it's that education is not a one-size-fits-all enterprise. Just as every child has unique needs, so does every teacher, every school, every district, and every state. " These people like the Secretary work with the youth of America in mixed schooling to help them.
