I am still at school currently and I notice that my Athsma is getting worse and worse. I thought it may be because I have to walk quite a way to get home. However, in PE especially, in the changing areas, people tend to use the spray deodorants know as aerosol cans. Not only that but sometimes, pupils from other years and sometimes even most boys, spray their either Lynx or other brand Aerosol without thinking and think it smells great and all the girls love it.
As a matter of fact I HATE the smell and my chest and Athsma problems are down to this, and this only. I spoke to my teacher who told the others but it didn't seem to help.
For others like myself, what happens is, like in smoking, the substance inhaled sticks to the lining hair on the inside of your lungs, called Cilium, making your body cough harder to try and remove it. Which in many cases is not the nicest thing to put up with.
For parents whose children still attend a school, please be aware of the dangers for your child especially if they suffer from athsma and if this is a problem, tell a teacher or raise the issue to other parents
