How to get your ex back

"Well, then... get the hell out!"

The words echoed in my mind, playing over, and over, like a broken record. I asked myself again, and again, how could I be so stupid? Why would I tell him to leave, if that wasn't what I wanted?

So, there I sat. I called, and I begged, and I pleaded. Then, I got mad, and I screamed, and I swore, and I hung up. I cried, for days, and anyone who would call would get the update on how miserable I was. My ex would come to pick up the children, and I would be dressed to the nines, make up caked on. He'd tell me I looked beautiful, and then he'd leave. I was pregnant at the time, so when I would get angry, I would freak out, and tell him what a horrible person he was, to leave me at such a time. How dare he?

Until, one day, I woke up, and I realized that if I was going to get through to my ex, I should definitely be thinking of other ways, as what I was doing was only pushing him further away, and making myself, and my children horribly unhappy.

Everything in this world that lives, needs the energy of the sun to grow. When you are taking it in, think about your circumstance. You will be open to so many thoughts as you do this. It's because you will be growing."

At first, I thought it was the most stupid thing I had ever heard of, and almost didn't even consider it. But, the next morning, as I sipped on my coffee, I headed out to my balcony, my eyes still red from crying the night before. It had been a few days since I had spoken to my husband, and that in itself was hard. He was my best friend, my soulmate, the one I shared everything with.

I looked up towards the sun, and as I squinted my eyes, I took a deep breath in. My eyes, now, were too sensitive to the light, so I closed them, and the image of the man I loved was plastered on the insides of my lids. He was smiling, something I hadn't seen in a very long time.

I finished my coffee,
