Hillary Clinton as the JFK of 2008: Fair comparison or blasphemy?

Hillary Clinton as the JFK of 2008, talk about absurd nonsensical hogwash. First and foremost forget comparisons and hero worship such as this malarkey. Each person who becomes President is never ever like anyone else. It is a disservice to a candidate and to history to say Hillary is the JFK of 2008. It not dissimilar to those in the GOP who want he return of Ronald Regan. That is just not going to happen. Each President brings his own policies, priorities and experiences to the job. Additionally, as much as someone may try to emulate a past President as if they were Rich Little that still falls short. Each Presidency is defined not just by the person in office but by the events which take place during their Presidency. Kennedy had the Bay of Pigs and Cuban Missile Crisis. Johnson had the Vietnam War and the Civil Rights issue. Nixon had Watergate and the opening of China. Carter had the Iranian hostages and so on.

However, more specific to the topic Hillary Clinton as the JFK of 2008: fair comparison or blasphemy, is in a word damm stupid. About the only true similarity between the two are that they are democrats. Let's just look at a comparison of who JFK dealt with the economy and how Hillary will likely deal with the matter. JFK was a tax cutter who understood that cutting tax rates has a positive effect and affect on the economy. Hillary Clinton, has promised all kinds of new spending programs and guess how that is going to be paid for, by higher taxes. If my memory serves me correct she is favor of letting tax cuts expire in 2010. Thus rates will go up. Many have also speculated that the recent Charlie Rangel tax proposal was proposed at the behest of Hillary. I do not know if that is the case, but she has not as of yet disavowed that plan.
