Any kind of trade deficit is an indication that the deficit Nation has little to offer to the rest of the World. As time passes, the majority of the people who live within that deficit Nation become poorer and poorer. That is a fact that is beyond any form of debate.
You see, Countries that have nothing to offer to the rest of the World are usually dependent on those other Countries to sustain their existence. Case in point, Africa. Those people are starving because they can't grow enough food or they are oppressed by dictators who simply kill their opponents.
In the case of the United States, "We People of the United States of America," have lost millions of manufacturing jobs and continue to lose jobs because of the desire of those huge multinational corporations to build factories outside of our Country. As a matter of fact, a shopper has to look long and hard for goods made within our Country. That is, if those people want to support the workers in our Country who made those products. Clearly, that situation stinks!
Even as I write this story, tens of thousands of people are about to lose their home due to the business practices of big business. So too, where is the support for the majority of, "We People of the United States of America," regarding the behavior of the elected politicians that are supposed to be protecting us? Yes, dear reader, those politicians are nowhere to be found when the majority requires new laws to prevent the fraud and extortion of big business.
Clearly, legislation is required in which to stop the loss of those jobs and even bring back some or all of the jobs that were lost. If "We People of the United States of America" all become poor there will be many more business people within our own Country who will also become poor, and maybe even homeless. The resulting depression will be truly horrific for every one, and it might also cause a Civil War.
Make no mistake, the working people of our once great Nation are truly fed-up with the performance of each and every one of our elected politicians. Big changes are coming, and they better come soon if "We People of the United States of America" expect to have a future for themselves and a future for their children.
