Black Birds"
Black birds singing by a small oak tree
Three woman were blessed, but one was not me
Raindrops falling from a deep blue sky
Love shall come and pass me by
Grass grows tall in the spring of this year
Dew will form each lonely tear
A baby's cry shall wake the night
Two hearts fill at love's delight
Black birds sing at the small oak tree
Thinking the tune might comfort me
The black birds leave before the dawn
A winter's breeze wakes up this morn
The ground is covered white with snow
Reminding me of what I know
As the cold wind stings my lonely face
I cry for the black birds in this empty place
Born to roam life's path alone
I always wait to find my home
Tomorrow might be judgment day
Just one more dream before I grey
Black birds sing once more for me
Maybe one shall hear my plea
Across this darkened night I'll find
A lightened thought to fill my mind
Blind are they who know no love
In the tuneful songs black birds sing of
Lost are they who are left to cry
Who know the tune and love's good-bye

The darkness consumes me,
My soul, it slips away,

I do not know the way,
I've lost all sense of purpose...
It's not alright,
I'm not ok,
I feel so

The tears sting in my eyes as I struggle
to hold them back
Careful not to let them fall, careful
not to crack
