A gift, doesn't have to be anything materialistic. There is a myth that the best and most romantic gifts have to involve a lot of money. In fact, that is not so. Women like to be treated like a princess; she wants to know that she holds a special place in your heart and sometimes the best gifts are not bought with money, but with action and sincerity.

Therefore a nice romantic birthday gift for her, can simply be a day full of love and things un-usual.

Try to start the day with cooking her a nice breakfast in bed. This is so lame but women oh-so love it! Not only does this show your dedication, but the fact that you are the one who made the breakfast (rather than taking her out to a cafe for breakfast) makes it even more special.

Take her somewhere special for the day. Pack a champaign picnic lunch and head to a national park where you can lay out the blanket in an area surrounded by nature and enjoy a relaxing day outdoors. If you can afford it you may want to consider something more drastic like take her on a small plane ride to somewhere remote where you'll set up a nice secluded spot for you to enjoy your day.

Remember, the most romantic thing is simply being together and enjoying each other's company. After a nice day in the sun, perhaps take her to the theater or concert at night, something fancy that you normally wouldn't go to and watch her eyes glisten with joy. If you both like Shakespeare and 'Romeo and Juliet' happens to be playing at a nearby theater, it's the perfect way to end the day.

If her birthday happen to be on a weekday, sending her a big bunch of red roses at work certainly will sweep her off her feet for the day. There is nothing better to show off how much a girl is being loved when surrounded by fellow office colleagues. Then take her to a fancy restaurant for a candle lit romantic dinner.
