Over time, your action figures can find their own little ways of becoming as dirty as possible, especially if they are out of the box. So what can you do to maintain them and keep them clean?
To begin, imagine the surface of your action figures as you would the surface of your car. Smooth, shiny, and nicely painted. Right? And when your car get dirty, you rinse it down, wash it with your very own special combination of soaps, scrub off any dirt with a soft sponge and finally you dry it off with a nice soft towel. What do you accomplish? Well, you cleaned your car. But more importantly, you removed all the dirt and grime, without doing any hard to the paint and actual surface of your car.
With your action figures, you goal is to do the same. The best way to do so is with a little bit of liquid soap and room temperature water. Apply this soap water to a small soft clothe, a soft tooth brush, or perhaps even a q-tip. Make sure to shy away from an abrasive cleaners or anything acidic that may deface the finish and surface of your figures. Once you have washed off your figure, you must dry it. Like a car, you don't want water marks stained all over the surface because you didn't take the time to dry it off. Use a new cloth to dry off your figure and perhaps blow into the joints and cracks of the figure to help spray out any remaining water droplets. It is important to do a good job drying off the figure and making sure no excess water is left on the surface. Once you are sure it is completely dry, then presume to pack it away as you wish.
