The major cost of being an overnight millionaire is getting to discover how many friends and long lost relatives come to shore not to share your joy but to help themselves to some free living off you and your family. We have been through buying, staffing and maintaining a mansion for a lot of people before whose appreciation and friendship and sometimes even a self-professed blood connection expired as soon as we decided to pretend our money had run out.

Advertising precious assets we decided not to pursue anymore. Instead we followed the route a lot of seasoned millionaires take to store the money away where it is safe and can grow some (and for Sam too) more and be of better use to people who truly care or need our care and where we would be willing to be providing.

I strongly recommend putting one's relationships through a rice and a dollar store tests to see which ones would be worth keeping. Human envy, jealousy and greed have caused a lot of diligent, hardworking and prudent millionaires' fortunes to go sour.

Sad but true in today's world any advertisement of financial success would do well to come in pair with the announcement that we're seeking friends no more. Of course, we must have had some to get where we have gotten as no man is an island nor a completely independent entity. I think such announcements would be proper to stop some maybe well meaning people from overexerting themselves unnecessarily.
