The effects of art on perception and emotion

Art's Affects on Perception and Emotion

Emotion is how some one feels and portrays that feeling, whether it is anger or hatred, or even love. Perception is the actual 'viewpoint', it's what is being portrayed and performed to the audience. The audience, more or less, is anyone and everyone who watches what is going on around them. Art is what you make of it; to one person a picture of a pile of cans is the most magnificent piece of art, but to others it is just simply a pile of cans.

Art affects how a person feels. A piece of art can make 100 people feel something completely different. Artwork contains something within it that triggers something in the mind that brings back emotions from paste experiences. Art is viewed through the eyes of the beholder and everybody is entitled to their own viewpoints and perspectives.

Art also influences one's perceptions on things. Back to the pile of cans, once someone sees that and says, Hey! Art can be something as simple as that', it might transform and influence their insight and perceptions on life itself, or anything else for that matter. The passion that art brings is often because of small, unnoticeable things brought to life through something so unique and thought over.
