Boosting your immunity naturally

In trying to keep your immune system working well, you must consider what makes you sick. I have found that lack or rest and too much stress have often been the caused of my immune system to be down.

1.Get enough rest. Rest gives your body a chance to regenerate.
2.Reduce stress. Your immune response is slowed when your body's hormones are busy responding to your stress. If you don't have time to rest and reduce stress, you probably don't have time to be sick either.

3.Healthy diet. Eat foods high in vitamin C, such as bell pepper, leafy greens, and citrus fruits. Also, consider eating soy and other fruits and vegetables.
4.Drink lots of water. Also, consider drinking tea. Tea, especially green tea, is high in antioxidants and could potentially boost your immune system.
5.Take supplements if you are unable to get the proper amounts of vitamins and minerals into your diet.
6.Ensure that vitamins and minerals are actually being absorbed by your body. Vitamins and minerals are better absorbed in their natural quantities in foods rather than supplements. Some vitamins and minerals are better absorbed with fat. Also, carbonation in soft drinks can hinder the metabolism of some vitamins and minerals.
7.Don't smoke. Smoking can depress your immune system.
