The health benefits of lemons

I have always enjoyed eating lemons and didn't know that they were so useful and good for our bodies.

Lemons are the root of all home remedies. The Romans thought they were so powerful they used them as a cure for all poisons.

Lemons are acidic but leave an alkaline residue in our body making them useful in symptoms of acidosis. They have a high vitamin C content and are good for treating and preventing infections, lowering a fever, helping wounds to heal and relieving symptoms of asthma, tonsillitis and sore throats.

When lemon juice is mixed with hot water, it can help with digestive problems like nausea, constipation and even worm infestations.

Lemons are a diuretic, making them good for urinary tract infections. They are also good for strengthening blood vessels and can help with high blood pressure.

When I was looking up ways to increase my metabolism, lemons was listed as one thing to eat to increase your metabolism.

There are so many benefits to eating lemons. They are even good for curing the hiccups and strengthening your immune system. The next time you feel a cold or the flu coming on, try mixing lemon juice with water, who knows, it may help better than over the counter meds.
