You've decided to give your ex another chance. Maybe you've decided that you need another chance. Either way, now is the time to put the perfect plan together. Proper planning and great imagination will be the secret to your success.

There was obviously a reason that you and your previous companion had to part ways. Whatever the reason, put it aside. Since you are at the place that you want that person back in your life, you have already forgiven them for the error of their ways. However, if you are on the receiving side of that forgiveness, then you have a little extra work to do.

Make yourself visible again. It's time to plan those "by chance" encounters. Get back inside your ex's head. Casually stroll by them at the grocery store. Smile and wave as your waiter leads you past their table at a local restaurant. Plan as many "chance" encounters as you can, without coming off as a stalker.

Let your fingers do the walking. You can now make that "excuse" phone call without having to remind your ex of who you are. An opening line can be, "I just called to say hi, and it was so nice seeing you the other day at the grocery store". This short and sweet phone call may be all that is needed to break the ice and get things rolling again.

The ice is now broken, good. The next step is to continue to communicate over the phone. Be careful not to become a nuisance, let them do most of the calling. Take this time to apologize for any negative experiences that you may have caused. Introduce the "new" you and sell the new and improved version.

Graduating from the phone to an actual one on one meeting is the next step. This huge step involves careful sweet-talking, gift giving, and ego shaping. This is the lay it on thick period. Be free with compliments and give them often, if your ex looks good, tell them. Now is the time to be honest with your feelings and genuinely express them.

Giving little gifts will let your "someone special" know that you are thinking of them. They do not need to be too extravagant unless your ex's tastes warrant it. Your special gifts should accompany warm thoughts and compliments. Compliments go a long way.

The key component to getting your ex back is thoughtfulness. Showing them that you truly care, and that you truly miss them is an important step to rekindling the relationship. Have fun with your new connection and keep the spark going with a consistence of attention producing behavior.
