There are various clues that can let you know if the person you are speaking with is lying.
These are especially helpful if this is someone you are really interested in-and you want to know how to tell a tall-tale.

1. What are the times that they are calling you? Is it in the morning, or late..late..at night? Are these unusual hours that they are calling you at?

2. How long are the call? Are they really brief-does it appear like they are always in a rush?

3. Does it take a long time to get a hold of them? Are they usually not available?

4. Are their voice-mails always full?

5. Are they consistent in the way that they treat you? Or are there times when they are more cold and detached than permissible?

6. Here is the last clue: Do they always put on some excuse of why you can't meet yet?

People who claim that they want to know you first-and just talk-without ever talking about meeting soon, might have something to hide.

They can lie about their age, their current marriage status, you name it. In some cases-they may even try to convince you to move in with them-but of course-they won't come out and say it at the beginning.

There are people that think that it is okay to mislead people-because they don't think that it is harmful. Think twice-three times-as many times as you have to-before meeting someone you have the slightest doubt about. Don't go alone, go with someone you trust. Check for consistency in their personality. Does it seem like they are really mature at some times-and at other times they are trying too hard to be "cool"?

Just because you are looking for romance or just innocent fun-don't assume that all people are trustworthy. There are good people out there-but you have to know how to tell them apart from the bad ones.
