How could someone have it in their heart to say NO to a defenseless child. Ask yourself, why does this child have AIDS in the first place? It sure wasn't by his/her own choosing. What do you think they should do with a child with this problem, put them in a bag, and then the dumpster?
Every child is a gift from God, with a purpose in life. There are loving parent's out there, who would love to give an AIDS child a chance. I know I would. I've worked in the medical field for 36 years, and I have never gotten AIDS, or any other communicable diseases. There are ways to handle AIDS patients.
What if your own child had to have a blood transfusion, and they contracted AIDS from someone else's blood, do they go in the dumpster? I'm using the term dumpster, because denying an AIDS child help, love and comfort, is like throwing a human life away. Why would anyone do that? Don't you think they already know that they are an outcast, by the young and the adults.
They have a lot of new medications now to help with AIDS patients, some can live for a long time, some don't. But, don't they all deserve the chance? Their lives will never be easy, but as long as there is breath in them, they are alive, and deserve to be treated as such.
Some people will exclude them because AIDS is a very frightening disease, and few people know that much about it. Sometimes there is more fear of the unknown, than of the actual truth. Do some research, find out about AIDS, before you condemn some poor innocent child of a life of loneliness and rejection. They need as normal a life as possible.
There are adoptive parents out there, who can love and protect them from those of you that can turn away. You harden your heart, when it should be filled with love and compassion for many of God's innocent children. One's that got caught up in man's sinful ways.
It has to be a hard decision, as you have to have special precautionary measures, so that no one else contracts the disease from the child. Also, when you adopt an AIDS child, you have no guarantee, that this child will even live. All you can do is expect the worse, but pray for the best.
There are always going to be the judgmental people out there, that will protest such a child being in school around their children. In a way, it's understandable, but on the other hand, these small diseased children have had no choice's as to how their lives should have gone, or why they are the way they are.
I understand it, I truly do, but why should an innocent child pay the price for an irresponsible adult, or get a transfusion to save their life, only to now die an even slower death, because the donor had AIDS.
Life isn't always fair. And it's usually the children who are the ones that get hurt, or eventually die, not even understanding why.
If people are wanting to adopt an AIDS child, I highly commend them for giving love and life to one who would never see it in an orphanage, or just in foster care. God will bless you for giving His little child a chance to smile again.
