As far as I am concerned there are only a few select people who should be allowed to own firearms, policemen, hunters and other law enforcement officers. These people all have legitimate reasons to own and carry any type of firearms.

I do not believe that any student or adult for that matter, needs to have a gun especially in a schooling area. Children are not always cool headed and allowing them to have guns on campus is asking for trouble in my opinion. I think that all schools should ban firearms.

There are no reasons for anyone to carry firearms in or around any school. Why these people feel the need to own any weapon is beyond my understanding. By letting these people bring firearms into colleges you are allowing them a freedom that should not be given. Allowing firearms onto these properties only makes it more possible for shootings to occur.

If these weapons were banned and measures were taken to ensure that they were not smuggled in, allot of problems could be avoided, you can't have any shootings if there are no weapons available to shoot off.

As I said before, there is no reason that anyone should have a firearm in college, I am actually very surprised that firearms have not been banned. In actuality I think that this is something that should have been done a long time ago.
