This lovely set of brownstones was built originally in 1834. At that time, three single family brownstones sat at the corner of 17th and Irving Place. Through the years, the corner brownstone was torn down and a small apartment building was built in its place. The two remaining brownstones were well preserved and now they are The Inn. At one time, it was a single family home. It has also been apartments, The Ingersol Mens Club, a Speak Easy, Beauty Parlor and Day Spa. After several years of remodeling and revamping the entire building, they opened the doors as The Inn in 1994.
There are twelve guest rooms and junior suites. All are furnished with antiques, reminiscent of the New York of the 1800's. Each room or suite is designed with comfort and elegance. Rooms range from $415 to $625 per night. Rooms includes:

They are equipped to handle Groups, meetings, private events and party planning services
The Inn at Irving Place serves a continental breakfast which you can order in bed or in the guest parlor. Lady Mendl's is nice for afternoon tea or desserts after dinner. The Cibar Lounge serves appetizers and drinks. Cafe Spinoza has soups, chili, sandwiches and pastries on their menu. Finally, Irving on Irving delivers a great lunch, dinner and Sunday brunch.
The location of The Inn At Irving Place, is ideal for seeing New York. Less 1.6 miles from almost any major attraction, makes it easy to enjoy all of the fun in New York City.Be sure to check with the concierge services at The Inn for tip top customer service and assistance. Even though The Inn At Irving Place is a little on the pricey side, it is an absolutely delightful place to stay. The history and the surrounding decor transform you into another era. A wonderful place to stay while enjoying New York City.
