There are ways that you can whiten your teeth at home instead of sitting in the dentist chair. Not only can whitening your teeth at the dentist put a dent in your wallet but it can be a frightening experience if you have a fear of the dentist. So rest assured that there are many different things that you can try at home to whitening your teeth creating a more appealing smile. There are many whitening products that you can purchase to try at home, such as..

Crest Whitestrips (I highly recommend as I have used myself and loved the results)
Toothpaste and mouthwash that whiten teeth
Ultra White
Dentist made whitening trays
Whitening gels
Different whitening strips
Paint on substances

One of the best whitening products that you probably have right now in your home is hydrogen peroxide. Although it does not taste very good it is a great and affordable way to whiten your teeth at home. Twice a day, swish your teeth with hydrogen peroxide for about 1 minute each time. Of course spit it out and then brush your teeth as normal. You will get amazing results and fast! It takes stains off of your teeth and cleans your entire mouth great. Although it does not leave your mouth minty fresh it really does remove alot of the stains and discoloration on your teeth in about a week. Hydrogen peroxide cost less then a dollar a bottle, so who can't afford to use this great whitening product?

Strawberries are also a great tooth whitener. It taste great as well so make this and then you can swallow it afterwards. Mash several strawberries well in a bowl and then brush your teeth with them like normal. It actually really works to whiten your teeth.

Baking soda is another great way to whiten teeth for next to nothing. Baking soda costs less then a dollar a box and just about every home already has a box in their pantry. So get about two teaspoons of baking soda into a little bowl and mix in just enough hydrogen peroxide to make it a nice paste, just like the consistency of toothpaste. Then brush your teeth as normal making sure you leave the paste on your teeth for at least two minutes. If you are not to thrilled about the flavor then you can add a bit of toothpaste in it to add flavor. Make sure you do not swallow the paste, trust me it wouldn't go down so smooth!

Showing off the whitest brightest smile possible can increase your confidence as well as allow you to show them off. Who does not want a beautiful smile? These days whitening your teeth is become increasingly popular. So try some of the suggestions above for a great and inexpensive way to whiten your teeth in the comfort of your own home. Good luck and show them your beautiful smile!
