Hair style is a key factor in looking professional. You can dress and act the part all you want, but if your hair is not right it can take away from your look, and may even distract people from the great work that you are doing. Examples of this are pigtails, frizzy hair, long surfer-style hair, and anything that draws too much attention.
For women you want a style that is pulled back and neat. Keep it off your face so that it doesn't distract you while you're working. A casual bun or French twist is always a good option. Or even if you want to pull the front of your hair up, and leave the bottom down, you can still look professional and polished. If you have shorter hair you may want to try just clipping the front back away from your face and adding some serum to keep fly-aways in their place. And save your wild, crazy looks for weekends and club nights where they will be much more appreciated.
Men will want to make sure that their hair is neatly trimmed and combed. No bed head at work and you can't possibly look professional with long surfer hair, no matter how cute it is. Side burns are probably not a good idea for work either.
Keep your hair this way and you can't loose. You will look sharp and professional for any task that is assigned.
