Mayweather should win this fight very easily! As a matter of fact, don't be surprised if
he accomplishes this in ho-hum fashion. Now I'm sure this may seem sacrilegious to the many
blind Hatton fans in the U.K., but if you compare the two fighters objectively you would have
to admit that Mayweather is by far the more polished, slick boxer and Hatton is certainly
going to have his hands full trying to figure out how to deal with Mayweather's hand and
foot speed. Although Mr. Mayweather does not have typical knockout power, often his knockout's
come from an accumulation of punches. As any boxer would tell you, you often get knocked out
by the punches that you do not see coming. The only key to victory that would give Hatton
a slim chance for a victory would be the hitting and holding that have become the best part
of his limited arsenal. No referee, to my recollection, has ever taken a point away for this
very flagrant rule breaking tactic. I certainly foresee Ricky Hatton, early in this fight,
resorting to these tactics for they certainly have served him well in the past. Unfortunately
for Ricky Hatton, Mayweather is too elusive to fall prey to these tactics and come December
8th you will probably hear these words from the ring announcer at the end of this fight;
ladies and gentleman the winner by TKO at a time of 2:53 of the 8th round and still Welter
Weight Champion of the world.....Floyd Mayweather!
