Donating your body to medical science

by Charly

I think that I speak for most people when I say that, if we were in a difficult situation, such as requiring heart surgery, we would want someone to donate a.s.a.p and we wouldnt necessarily care whom it was from and/or where it had come from, we would just beg to god we would get the thing that could cost us our lives.
But I for certain would not feel comfy with a bad person getting my organs. Muderers, rapists, anyone. A while ago both my great-grandparents had kidney failure. However my G-Grandma was worst and was sent in for an operation of which, she passed away because no-one had donated. Her only good and working kidney was, out of her choice, to be donated to her husband since they were the same type and fitted around the same profiles. But because it was not official, and after she passed away she could not help it, the kidney was donated to another person, and for that reason my G-Grandpa died.

I soon found out, after months of grieving, that the kidney had gone to a man in the USA. Who as I did not know yet, not only had a criminal record, but was violent and attacked more than 14 innocent people. I was heart broken, and that is why, I believe my heart should stay with me, since after my passing I cant determine who and where my organs will go to
