Vacations.... for the first memory I am writing down concerning my vacations, I have to share with somebody the image that is printed in the back of my eyes.

One of the last summer, we went to Portugal. The whole family, 2 adults and 5 children, by car... a 22 hours drive by car, through Switzerland, France, Spain and then Portugal. Supposed to be a nice trip, having fun and discovering countries with happiness. ...

That year, from the very first day, nothing went on like vacations are supposed to be. The car seemed to make a strange noise, right there in the motor, and neither I neither my husband do we know anything about car and mechanics... so , we waited until we were in Portugal and they told us it was something about the cooler-thing... it was fixed up and was very expensive.

But the memory I want you to take away from my mind is not that.

In Portugal, we do stay at my mother-in-law 's house, in a small village. But, as there are lots of nice places in Portugal too, we decided to spend 3-4 days at the beach, at some friends' house. On our way down more south, while my husband was driving, we arrived at a zone where it had been an accident. There were cops, ambulances and lots of engine fragments on the road.

We passed the accident zone and my husband told me "Was a bad accident. I saw a motorcycle cut in two pieces!"... and, very slowly, I told him "Sure. I saw what was on it cut in two pieces!"

That night and some nights after, I didn't really sleep. Each time I did close my eyes I saw it. I saw that corpse, half of one, lying down, right there in front of my eyes. Even right now, while writing it down I don't feel well and I do hope I am enough tired to sleep some this night. That image is still there!

True story... not Halloween thing.
