I'd prefer to have a holiday in China.
I really don't know why there are so many people think Japan is a good place to vacation. I have to admit that Japan has many great palces to visit, and Japan is a strong country in this world. If you think Japan is a good place to vacation just relying on this reason, I have to say:" You are wrong!"
Actually, China also has famous buildings, beautiful sceneries and a long history. I dare to say China is more worthy than Japan if you are thinking your destination.

1. China has a long history. As we all know, China is an old country with about 5000 years histories. In Shang Dynasty, China has invented bronze and made many containers with bronze. At that time, brone was an important material in people's daily life. Our familiar SIMUWU big vessel was made at that time. Even in this society, the refinement of this vessel is amazing. We can easily count the famous sights in China: The Great Wall and Tian'anmen in Beijing, the Terra Cotta Warriors in Xi'an, the Huaqing Hotspring in Xi'an and so on. Besides, Beijing will hold the Olympic Games in 2008, which can completely improve that China is growing. I believe China is more competitive than Japan in your trip plan.
The advantages of Chinese trip is without end. I cannot totally speak what they are. In a word, if only you go to China for your vacation, you will understand everything.
