Steroids are not destroying baseball because anybody that has an iota of common sense no longer uses it. Especially considering all the controversy that has surrounded it already. All major league baseball players should have learned from the Barry Bonds incident and trust no one considering what Jose Canseco did to his teammates with the book that came out in a tell all confessional about the rampant use of steroids throughout major league baseball.

The next reason it is not really considered to be destroying baseball is because their is some form of a drug problem in almost every sport. The reality is, you can regulate drugs to death but the reality is, no matter how hard you try somebody is going to find a way to beat the system and win over both the system along with the league and sport they are playing.

I personally feel like the steroid era, in a sense is over in baseball. It's just not in the news that much anymore and it probably won't be again anytime soon because Congress has tested for it and the commissioners of all the respective sports leagues have all put their foot down when it comes to drug use and breaking the law to try to clean up the acts of their respective leagues and I commend them for that.

As long as Bud Selig continues to crack down the law on major league baseball when it comes to drugs baseball will have officially returned as the true american past time.
