The biggest problem with the education system in society today is way too many "tests" are given. I use that word lightly. There can be lots of factors in how somebody does on tests. First of all, you have students who will fail the format as opposed to the test. I was one of the victims of this when I took the SAT. Next, you have students who are simply having a bad day, those who have trouble concentrating and things like that with other disadvantages. These are all factors that are given when a student has to take test and it can hinder their test scores one way or another.

Too make it worse as a result of all the tests because students are supposedly falling behind the other school systems in the world, George W. himself, the genius that he is decided it would be a good idea to tie the teachers down even more, hold them "accountable" and give even more tests, making actually educating students with hands on projects, field trips and stuff they will actually use in life downright impossible, therefore putting us even further behind. Now because of every child left behind (yes I botched the name of no child left behind on purpose because that is the better name for that law) it has made teachers' jobs of teaching impossible. I do agree that they need to be held accountable if they are not doing their jobs, but that does not need to be the job of the government, which is a huge reason as to why colleges should not use SAT scores for admissions.

The next problem I have with the SAT's is it can be an easy for anybody who goofed around for four years in class during high school and then did astronomically well on their SAT which they probably studied for for a week and spent three hours taking. That in itself, I find to be highly unjust. Proves what test prove.
