You know what I love most about SUPERNATURAL? That it brings out both passion and creativity in me! I have a boring 6:30 AM - 3 PM job, a wife and hausfrau's ho-hum after work life, an adult son who no longer needs me. When I get home, between cooking dinner and doing laundry, I head for my computer and search the internet for new photos, film clips, videos and articles about the show itself, Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki, the show's handsome, kind and fan-friendly stars. When I go to my gym, I exercise with erotic abandon to specially-chosen MP3 songs, fantasizing about Jensen and Jared in ways that keep me working hard on the treadmill, bike or rowing machine.

Hearing from creator/producer Eric Kripke at Comic Con that the show had been close to not securing a third season, I pondered what I could do to bring it to the attention of more viewers, bringing out my long-dormant creativity. I came up with a t-shirt, white writing on a black background: WATCH SUPERNATURAL - CW 11 - 9 PM THURSDAY - IT'S THE BEST! I wear it every Thursday and on weekends, advertising the show on my 40DD bosom. When folks read it and ask for more info (it amazes me how many people don't even know it exists, given that it's on opposite GREY's, CSI and OFFICE), I blather on eagerly about the storyline and what a fantastic show it is. I'm sure some viewers have given it a look-see as a result!

Reading about fans' success in meeting actors Jensen and Jared in Vancouver, BC, where the show is filmed, I made up my mind that I was going to fly there and meet them myself. Going through a mid-life crisis, I decided it was just what my psyche needed. So, with my dear husband's blessing, I spent a lot of money on a plane ticket and made arrangements to share a hotel room and a car rental with two like-minded SUPERNATURAL fans.

We had a fantastic time. I don't have any family or friends who are fans of the show, so I lust for it alone. Having two other gals to watch episodes and scout out filming locations with who shared my passion made it that much more exciting. Vancouver was absolutely gorgeous, the weather cooperated, and when we finally came face to face with Jensen and Jared (after six days of waiting and wondering if it was EVER going to happen), I smiled so hugely in all my photos with them, I think I look like a total idiot in every single one! The fact that I was able to make my dream-meeting the two young men who star in my very favorite TV show-come true dissipated my mid-life crisis and made my humdrum life far less so.

SUPERNATURAL has begun its third season, which I'm thoroughly enjoying so far. With the Yellow-Eyed Demon dead and the gates of hell open, sending hundreds of demons spewing over the earth, we've embarked on what is, essentially, an entirely new storyline, with added characters and new dangers and adventures for Sam and Dean Winchester. Can Sam get Dean out of his crossroads deal without compromising his sweet, kindly nature, or will demon Ruby turn him Dark Side? How will addition of Bela, a mercenary bitch out only for herself, affect our boys? She already stole a whole bunch of money from them!

See? SUPERNATURAL makes the future look very exciting indeed. It's Wednesday. I've got to make sure my t-shirt is ready to wear for tomorrow!
