As an astrologer, I have to say that by knowing all your ins-and outs of your chart, helps you from a higher perspective to see and know' who you really are: and more so, why you tick the way you do.

It's not about Sun Sign astrology. Saying you are a Pisces or Taurus is only a small fragment of your celestial being. You want to know where your (or your partners) planets are and how they are influenced by the sign they are in which colors them all quite differently, and then to see what aspects they are receiving from the other planets, and last but not least what they are receiving by the daily motions (called transits).

Knowing yourself is the essential key in truly knowing, understanding, comprehending the True Self and hence knowing that, you'll be able to rise above certain aspects of your lower nature in order to rise above and fulfill your life without stumbling into the same old road blocks people do over and over again not knowing why they do. It's all about consciousness attaining higher consciousness and expanding our understanding of our place on the Universe as well as here on Earth.

Astrology can be laughed at on behalf of those not understanding the science behind it and read only the daily horoscopes that are way too superficial. Astrology is the very underlying aspect of psychology. Psychology has labels of this and that, but astrology will tell you more: it'll explain where its all coming from in your personal being and why. Even more so, it'll tell you how long you'll be under whatever influence of whatever experience you are going through ~ something contemporary psychology never will be able to do!
It's scary how some people go to a psychologist and get labeled' and then the patient' will believe that ok, now I have this label and know I'll have to live with it the rest of my life' That is not so in most cases.

The power of Knowing Thyself hence becomes extremely important. If you knew your chart, you'd be able to see when whatever influence will pass. Your body/mind will only do what you tell it to do. So if you believe you have a condition you have to live with, well then you have claimed it and it will be your burden to carry onwards! If you can on the other hand see when the influence is over that is creating whatever situation is going to pass, you can start working with it and rising above it not only to resolve it by the time the influence is over, but come out the other end of your tunnel' much more enlightened!
