The process of education is a relationship of reciprocity. The main operatives in the situation are people. The teacher gives and receives just as the learner does. The content of this interchange embodies academic facts, cultural mores, personalities, and behavioral mechanisms to assist in coping with this environment. Teachers are expected to enter into the relationship or process with a given level of respect and compassion for those who are looking to them for disciplined direction. This is especially necessary when teachers are employed to educate children.

Certified teachers are a part of a professional body that is governed by clear regulations. It's not to say that teachers that are not certified are inept. These regulations fail to produce enough teaches that are that are "people sensitive". There needs to be another highly focused dimension added to the curriculum of teacher training. The best way for a teacher to become people sensitive is to begin to explore the most important person in their own life- themselves. Teachers must become more aware of themselves before they are given the awesome responsibility of helping to shape the minds of others. The most valuable tool in the learning and teaching environment is the educator. Educators must move beyond stereotypes and tolerance and embrace acceptance if they are to truly find ways to encourage and motivate others to accept new ideas. Teachers should' first do no harm'.

Quality equipment and supplies are undoubtedly necessary. Teachers should have a good working knowledge of how to manage and integrate them into their teaching plans. They need a widened knowledge of the needs of people and their environment. This will give a solid view of their roles as change agents and the best use of the equipment that will more than adequately facilitate their efforts. Some supplies and equipment is never used to its full capacity because they were put into the wrong environment or at a level that made little difference. Trained educators should be looked upon as the experts. If there is confidence in the training, then the educators' assessment and evaluation of need should be respected.
