Presidential debates have been controlled , to the point that the candidate can barley get his or her point across to the people . The candidate will get two minutes to discuss and give his or her views on serious things ; that we the voters would really like to know . Then , all of a sudden he is cut off in mid explanation , "Times up".
You hear more about who is the biggest money maker , than you do , of the candidates views . They have taken the speech out of the debate , by limiting the time . What candidate can explain , illegal immigration , or their fight against terrorism in two minutes ? The simple American voter that needs these facts , has been limited to two minutes worth of information ; in order to make up his or her mind .
The American people are left out side the fence , to observe the candidate , because most Americans can not afford the two thousand dollar a plate luncheons to hear them speak un interrupted . The blue collar American has to wait for the media , to give the candidates views and opinions , thus making the information second hand .
The controlled atmosphere of the debates is probably necessary to allow equal time to each candidate , but for the American people , the need to see the fire of the debate , to determine which candidate has the fire and interest ; of the United States policies at hand . US debates have become a joke and spectacle to the American viewer . Two minutes of breast pulling , only to have them on the news later running down their opponent .
I say let them go at it on the debate , face to face . If it comes to blows , which it will not , we could truly see what they are made of , not some dope smoking pantie waist liberal that has been projected thus far . We are living in troubled times . We as Americans need to be very sure of our vote this time around . With so many candidates , and so many different views on how to better the United States here and abroad . I do not think the media or the party leaders suppress the candidates rights to speak freely and with out limitations .
