No,not in my opinion.I have seen debates turn into heated arguments. They will go after one another's record on how they voted on certain issues. They will actually tell things about each other,[which in some cases is negative],that the american voter did not know. These candidates are passionate about their jobs.It is informative to voters, when the mudslinging comes in.I,myself have found on several occasions saying,"I didn't know so and so voted for that certain bill"."I thought that bill was not in america's best interest".Even though for the most part,I don't approve of the mudslinging,I do believe there is information that comes out in these debates, that can sometimes be a deciding factor, when it's time for an individual to go to the voting booths.Although the mediator is there to make sure the debates stay on track, they still have the tendency to get out of hand. These candidates want to be president! So,should we expect them to be able to restrain their passion?Considering my age,I have seen many presidents come and go.And have watched my share of debates. If you were running for president, ask yourself how you would respond at a debate. How would you respond if your record was being attacked by another candidate?Would your passion get the better of you, after all, your running for president! If it was me,I'd tried to exercise some restrain, but I'm sure that like the candidates. It's not an absolute guarantee!
