Halloween has always been a fun time for our family because I loved making all the costumes and coming up with creative ideas no one else had.
This one particular Halloween one of my daughters wanted to be Little Bo peep, so that was cool for me. I went to the salvation army and bought a frilly dress and made a under skirt to make it fluff way out, then made some bloomers for underneath and a bonnet.
We were attending a church Halloween party and there were prizes for the best costume, fist place was $50 dollars and I was determined to win.
The costumes was done except all that was needed was a sheep! So guess who go that job? Our dog Shelia an Australian Sheppard. I made her custom out of an old white sheet. I made a saddle like to go over her back that tied under her belly then glued white cotton balls all over it, then I made a hat that tied under her chin and came over her ears like sheep ears and did the same gluing the cotton balls all over. Only thing needed now was a big staff for little Bo Peep, and that I made from a Christmas candy cane and spray painted it white..
My daughter won the first prize and all the judges came to me and told me that the dog made into a sheep was the clincher. Everyone had a good laugh that night with our family pet joining in on all the fun.
She also enjoyed going house to house on Halloween after the party at church with my daughter, being greeted by lot's of pats on the head and goodies for her too.
