Novel excerpts: Inspirational

Her back was turned and chills ran up her spine she knew he was coming back again. For revenge. She had done the unforgivable so once again she was on the run. She looked behind her but there was no one there just the haunting of her own shadow. She kept running because she knew if she was caught by him she was as good as dead. She looked at the darkness and felt like screaming she saw the shadows of the trees and hoped that eventually the ground would swallow her up. She knew that running away was the only answer it was better than him finding her and beating her up again. She met him back in high school when love and boys was all you ever thought about. He was a Patrick Swazi remake and she couldn't seem to keep her eyes off him. She always thought he was nice but soon after they got married and had a child then when she didn't have a boy he got angry and started getting violent causing a stir. She did the only thing she could do she took her daughter Grace Ann and they went to Arizona to start a new life.

Looking out her window she knew she made the right choice. Looking at Grace she had the strength to fight her ex-husband. She knew had she stayed with him he would have hurt Grace and she didn't want to chance that happening. Her child was her life and her very reason for living. Grace was a beautiful three year old: honey blond hair and soft hazel green eyes. Her hair fell almost down to her knees in spiral ringlets that her mother kept tied back in red ribbons and barrettes. Looking at her daughter made her love her more than her own life. Grace was the only positive thing her ex-husband ever gave her. She knew eventually he would come looking for her but until then Grace and her would keep running until the time ran out.
